Figure Drawing and Figure Painting

Classes may be taken for a grade-OR NOT (credit/no credit, audits available)

Artists who desire practice painting live models
(acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolor, mixed media) or drawing (graphite, charcoal, contè crayon, ink)
should not miss these opportunities!

Figure PAINTING is typically offered once each academic year (if enrollment allows) however, Figure DRAWING is offered almost every semester.

Because the Figure PAINTING class usually only offered in the spring semester (Feb-Jun), please plot your semester to take advantage of the longer poses for figurative painting course work.

It is recommended that you have experience in Figure Drawing and have had some painting course work prior to coming to the Figure Painting class, however the prerequisite options include Beginning Drawing, OR Beginning Painting, or Figure Drawing.

Artist’s who desire practice using live models either painting (acrylic, oil, pastel, mixed media) or drawing (graphite, charcoal, contè crayon, ink) cannot go wrong for the cost of a live model this many times.
Typically 100 hrs of model time for about 60 CENTS/HR to paint or draw from a model!!!*
