General Health Science
HES 1
This is an introductory course in the science of health, designed to give students a basic introduction to your body, how it functions, and how your choices impact your health. Hopefully you will learn something about how science "works," what science has learned, and some exciting topics waiting to be discovered. I enjoy teaching this course, and I hope that you enjoy enrolling in my class. This class can be very interesting and fun, but be prepared - there is a lot of material to learn. Let me know if you have any questions!
Here is this semester's course syllabus and study guide which may help you.
Power Point Presentations
These are for your review. They are not the exact lectures that I give in class,
but they will help you study. Some of this material is not found in the
textbook, so make sure if you have any questions, please let me know. Just a hint - some of these files are quite
large. If you try to open them online, it may take a while. I would suggest downloading them onto your hard drive to view them,
and not try to open them with your web browser program. If you do not have
the program called power point on your computer, you can download a free viewer
