Carol Farrar Ph. D. Associate Professor Psycholog | Chair, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences

Welcome

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Psychologists strive to understand (which does not mean excuse), predict, and control behavior.  And like all superheroes, the psychologist must be on constant guard to use his or her powers for good and not for evil.

Psychologists are interested in many topics: Language development, Learning, Social behaviors, Emotions, Motivation, Abnormal behaviors, and much more.

Any given psychologist may approach any of these topics of interest from a variety of perspectives: developmental, cognitive, social, physiological, or some combination.

I am glad that you are interested in exploring this subject.
