The Norco Voice is RCC Norco's only collegiate newspaper produced and managed by the student editorial staff and RCC Norco journalism students. The mission of the college newspaper is to create a public forum for RCC Norco students in which opportunities to publish and showcase original work is provided. The Norco Voice is associated with and operates to the standards of professional journalistic organizations such as the Journalism Association of Community Colleges and the Associated Collegiate Press.

The student newspaper is directly associated with the Journalism 20 course offered at RCC Norco during the Fall and Spring semesters. Students enrolled in the course are considered staff writers of The Norco Voice and are eligible to earn 3 units of elective credit. Students can also take on other roles while on staff if desired such as photographers, copy editors, editorial cartoonists, graphic designers and so on.

As of 2008 The Norco Voice also became an official student club and organization at RCC Norco. Students officially enrolled in the newspaper course will simultaneously be granted club member status, and if desired can take on leadership roles within the club as well. The role of club is to advocate for The Norco Voice's interests and concerns regarding its mission and organizational needs on campus.

There are also freelance opportunities available through The Norco Voice for RCC Norco students interested in journalism careers. Students that do not have the time to officially enroll in the Journalism 20 course may find freelancing for the college newspaper or joining the club a better option.

For more information regarding publishing opportunities or club information please contact us during the Fall and Spring semesters.
