President's Message

Welcome to our students, families, guests, faculty and staff.

Tonight marks another important moment for Norco Campus and our students. For the campus, this is, in all likelihood, our final commencement ceremony as the Riverside Community College District, Norco Campus. In January 2010, we are anticipating achieving accreditation as a college by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, thus becoming Norco College.

For this year's graduates, receiving their diploma this evening marks a significant step down the path toward success as students, family members and citizens. Just as significantly, the Class of 2009 has played a key role by joining us in planning for our future as Norco College. Student leaders have helped articulate the vision that we now see coming to fruition in the form of new buildings, athletic facilities, instructional programs and, ultimately, the birth of California's 111th community college.

For those who graduate tonight, we offer our sincere gratitude for the contributions you have made to your college and wish you the best of luck as you embark upon your future endeavors.
