Laptops used in the WRC may be used in the study area ONLY. Power outlets are available under each of the tables. Cords must be out of walkways and traffic areas at all times.

DO NOT plug into power outlets along the center or wall counters.

Laptops may not be set up at our computer workstations.

Laptop sound and volume controls must be set to mute or disabled unless headphones are used.

Laptops may not be connected to the WRC network. Please see the college website for information regarding wireless Internet.

Laptops cannot be connected to the Center printers. All printing must be done from Center computer workstations.

The Writing and Reading Center currently uses Microsoft Office 2007.  If you are using Office 97-2003,  you will need to save any files that you save in the Center as Office 2003 (.doc extension for Word, .ppt extension for PowerPoint), text, or another compatible file format. Our computers will not read any documents with a .docx extension.

Effective Spring 2007, the Writing Center will NOT accept requests for missed hours during the LAST week of ANY semester. No exceptions to this policy will be made.
