What can the Writing and Reading Center do for you?

The Writing and Reading Center offers you one-on-one instruction time with faculty members and peer tutors.  Every hour that the Center is open, we have one or two faculty members on duty to answer your questions, assist you in the writing process, and offer general support. In the Center, you will also find peer tutors available by appointment to work with you on your projects.  Regardless of your level of writing skill or where you are in the writing process (from idea generation to final revision), you can work with an instructor or tutor in the Writing Center; this allows for immediate feedback on your writing projects and process.  The Writing and Reading Center also offers monthly workshops on a variety of topics.  Workshops offer topic-specific instruction from faculty members and are focused on common trouble areas for students.  Workshops are typically forty-five minutes to an hour and require no sign-up or registration; however, they are limited to the first fifteen students in attendance.
